The Icelandic Opera’s first production at Harpa – Reykjavik Concert Hall The Icelandic Opera moved its residence to Harpa – Reykjavik‘s new concert hall and conference centre in May and said farewell to its home of the past thirty years, „Gamla bíó“ – the old cinema house in Ingólfsstræti in downtown Reykjavík. The first production of The Icelandic Opera in its new home will be Mozart’s The Magic Flute, which has „magically“ enchanted audiences for over 200 years. In the leading roles: Þóra Einarsdóttir, Finnur Bjarnason, Garðar Thór Cortes, Jóhann Smári Sævarsson, Sigrún Hjálmtýsdóttir, Ágúst Ólafsson, Hulda Björk Garðarsdóttir, Auður Gunnarsdóttir, Sigríður Ósk Kristjánsdóttir, Snorri Wium, Valgerður Guðnadóttir, Kolbeinn Jón Ketilsson and Viðar Gunnarsson. Conductor: Daníel Bjarnason. Director: Ágústa Skúladóttir.
